Kayak Canoe SUP Rental

17 Turtles Outfitters is based in Fairhope, AL.  We rent canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and camping gear at our Fly Creek location.  If you’d like to paddle another location, no problem! We will gladly meet you at your chosen launch site within Baldwin or Mobile counties. We offer guided tours of the water ways in both Mobile and Baldwin counties as well as environmental education and team building. Our objective is to connect with young and old, school groups, businesses, individuals and non-profits who have a desire to get on the water. Alabama is one of the most biologically diverse states in the US and access to our ecosystems (habitats) is what we offer.

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” John Muir.

For those far out, hard to reach places, we also provide guided power boat eco-tour adventures throughout Baldwin County. Are you ready to experience an adventure of a lifetime? Explore the mysteries and learn the secrets of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, which encompasses over 260,000 acres, making it the 2nd largest delta in the United States. Life in the Delta is forever changing. Changes in the tides, wind, moon, weather and seasons reveal more secrets. Whether you’re into birding, nature photography or water sports, something will sure to fascinate all ages. Our power boat eco-tours typically launch from behind the Blue Gill Restaurant on the causeway unless another locale is otherwise requested.

Get Lost in Nature

Beautiful & Simple

17 Turtles

What’s in a name?

The inspiration for our name came from the 17 different turtle species that call the Mobile-Tensaw Delta home. Our Delta is the 2nd largest river Delta in our nation covering 260,000 acres of wetlands. Our goal is give as many people as possible the opportunity to learn more and to experience this amazing eco-system first hand.

Fostering appreciation and a protective
spirit for clean air, water and soil

We frequently partner with the Weeks Bay Foundation, Mobile Bay Keepers, Alabama River’s Alliance, Alabama Coastal Foundation, City of Fairhope Environmental Council, Bird Fest and other local groups for environmental cleanup or nature appreciation events.
